Has anyone here done the DMAC module recently? If so how long did the grading take? Is it like the modules that you just go in a queue and it gets graded when they get to it or is there like specific release dates?
Uploaded on 10/12. It says 7-8(?or 10) weeks.
Thanks!
That's longer than I would have guessed it takes to grade something that is supposed to take 50 hours of work. Do you submit a long paper at the end of it or something?
Sincerely, Oblivious FCAS
CalebWetherell Not very long. Mine is about same length as the sample. I totally agree with you it takes way too long given the nature of the assignment.
I just registered for DMAC after sitting for my (hopefully) final FSA exam yesterday. The SOA formally has shared that the next "cutoff" to submit it in order to register for the next future FAC isn't until Jan 4, so technically they may not grade papers until after then. I'm hoping to submit mine by the beginning of December on the off chance that they'd clear the queue out earlier and give me a chance to resubmit if I need to prior to that deadline.
Yeah, I have a similar plan. Not that I don’t think this site is great but it’s kind of a bummer AO is down for archived posts as well cause there was so much discussion on DMAC that I think could be super helpful that can no longer be accessed.
Yankeefan22 It is unfortunate the historical record is gone. On the bright side, we're currently (hopefully!) making a new record for people to refer to in the future!
I submitted mine last week and got the same 8-10 weeks timeline from the SOA. However, my buddy said they took 5 weeks to grade his. So I'm hopeful that I'll hear back sooner.
CaseyHumphrey Under-promise, over-deliver! Seems like a good strategy for them to use with grading on a rolling basis like this. Otherwise, any random slowdown will piss off a lot of people.
MMR email received last night. @☺
ameng99 that must be a good thing. What is MMR? I assume you're not referring to the measles vaccine!
CalebWetherell 😂 not the vaccine for sure. Meets Minimum Requirements
ameng99 Gotcha. Congrats!! 🥳
That's consistent with the previous example. Looks like DMAC grading time is right at 6 weeks right now.
The queue must have been quite short. DMAC submitted: 11/23 Met minimum requirements: 12/3
In your guy’s opinion is the grading on this as strict as IA or FA?
@Yankeefan22 I don’t know of anyone who has failed DMAC on their first attempt, but I have coworkers who failed IA and FA on their first attempt.
As long as you answer the prompts, you should pass it.
Thanks! That’s good to hear!
