It really is astounding how much money government workers are getting.
My dad is a retired police officer pulling in 220k/year from his pension. He retired in his early 50s, too. He's not even 60.
On the bright side, I'm about to inherit millions of dollars if he lives long enough. I think he has $5+ million in S&P 500 index funds. He also owns 2 $1+ million properties in NYC.
I love generational wealth. My children will earn more in dividends than I earn as a credentialed actuary. Pretty neat stuff.
