Starting this thread. I started studying in December after I took Exam 5. Using TIA and I feel overwhelmed by the amount of material that needs to be memorized. Hoping to finish the first run by mid Feb and use 1.5 months to restudy/memorize everything...
Sup.
I'm in SOA, so I'm unsure how hard things are in CAS, but I think eventually CAS will make their exams easier to attract more people to the field. You can always wait until they make it easier, which is what my coworkers did on the SOA side.
Your coworkers are dumb.
WhenFCAS? Maybe so, but they're almost at FSA, so does it really matter? What's the point of struggling with hard exams when you can just wait a few years and take the watered down version of it? You can spend that time researching companies to invest in.
Exam 6 is a completely different beast than the other exams. People that make it this far aren't professional fact memorizers. But that is what Exam 6 requires.
Now that I passed 5, I'm going full on this. Almost done with my first run through TIA... Can't wait to get ACAS finally.
WhenFCAS? Congrats! These exams are a joke now. You should ace everything with ease. Remember to spend more time daytrading, because you will earn a lot more from chasing meme stocks than passing exams!
WhenFCAS? congrats!! That's great news. Hope you treat yourself to a nice celebration of some kind! (Like buying meme stocks...)
